Over the weekend I headed to the Harley Davidson Showroom in Long Island City to hang at their annual Spring Open House. The space was packed with so much metal I literally lost my mind. I've got bike fever so bad and won't be happy until there is a machine under my bum! Luckily, I got to cruise around the dealership, and even rode two up on the back of a cruiser when it was time to get back to Manhattan!
The riders and staff alike were warm and friendly, with a BBQ going on out back, and drinks served along with sodas for the kids. Entire families showed up to support a classic American motorcycle brand with immense loyalty from its riders.
Now, what does one wear to such an event where the real life "easy riders" are brunching and engaged in serious bike discourse? More than any other garment in my closet, I own black dresses in abundance. I grabbed my vintage mini and accessorized with simple jewelry. With some boots and a denim jacket added to the mix, I was ready to go.
